UZH CRISPR Screening Hub

UZH CRISPR Screening Hub - Welcome!

Large scale, functional CRISPR-Cas9 screens are of high interest for the rapid investigation of gene functions across the entire human genome, facilitating in-depth exploration of fundamental biological mechanisms, gene functions and potential druggable targets. This broadly advances several scientific disciplines in biology and medicine, thereby catalyzing new groundbreaking discoveries.

The UZH CRISPR screening hub is a technology platform that offers two state of the art genome wide human CRISPR libraries termed “T.spiezzo” (19’936 plasmids) and “T.gonfio” (22’442 plasmids) for gene ablation, gene activation and epigenetic silencing (Yin et al., BioXriv, 2023). We also provide specialized expertise in performing CRISPR screenings, access to cutting-edge screening equipment, and tailored hands-on training for researchers from UZH, as well as from other academic and industrial organizations.

Our Services

Access to our CRISPR libraries:

  • Plasmids and lentiviral vectors from the T. gonfio and T. spiezzo libraries for pooled and arrayed CRISPR screens CRISPR libraries
  • Non-targeting controls

Cell line generation service:

  • Support and service in the generation and validation of Cas9/dCas9-expressing cell lines and in the engineering of cell lines with our CRISPR libraries
  • Cell lines from our repository

Genome-wide functional CRISPR screens using the T.gonfio and T.spiezzo libraries

  • Guidance in developing pooled and arrayed CRISPR high-throughput screening assays
  • Supporting researchers in conducting pooled and arrayed genome-wide and sublibrary CRISPR screens
  • Supporting researchers in the data evaluation of the screens
